About Heather

Heather is a proud product and avid supporter of public education. She is an active member of the Cascade K-8 PTSA.

She is an educator working as a Senior Associate Faculty at Cascadia College. Heather also teaches at Shoreline Community College and Edmonds Community College. She collaborates with high school teachers on curriculum development and assessments and is a member of the American Federation of Teachers.

Heather holds a master’s degree from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy where her thesis focused on K-12 education policy.

She previously served as a member of Shoreline’s Economic Development Advisory Committee and as chair of the 2012 Electoral College for Washington State. As an undergraduate at Binghamton University, Heather served as an intern in the Clerk’s office of the United States Supreme Court.

Heather, and her husband Chris, moved to the City of Shoreline over ten years ago in part because of the award-winning schools.
